BRENDEN "Butterbean" QUEEN

Brenden Queen started his journey in racing at the age of eight years old at the Albemarle Speedway in North Carolina with the nickname Butterbean. Why you might ask? Let’s just say he was not in his current athletic physique…and the name seemed appropriate.

Butterbean went on to win ten races in 2008, nine of those wins were back to back, on his way to the track championship. He won over twenty races in 2008 and 2009 as well as his first of many track championships.

An opportunity arose in 2010 for Brenden to drive an Arena Racing car for E.F. Motorsports. In just his first year he finished third in the points standings and won Rookie of the Year honors.

2016 was Brenden’s breakout year. The talented Virginia native won four races on his way to the prestigious East Carolina Speedway track championship bringing him second place in the North Carolina NASCAR state points race and the honor of being invited to the national NASCAR Whelen All American Series banquet in Charlotte.

In 2017 Butterbean and his team made the switch back home to the much closer Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA and showed why he is a contender whenever he shows up to race. In his first season back at the famed oval Brenden scored a fourth place finish in points, a second place finish in their 200-lap Hampton Heat event, instantly becoming a contender for the 2018 title.

Brenden is also the proud brother of TWO deaf dogs! - Clutch and Hoosier!
